The Erie County Dept of Health (ECDH) provides focused medical services and nurse home visiting related to children, teens and adults. Public and professional education is also provided related to specific topics.

Phone access to a public health nurse is maintained during business hours for related questions and referrals.

Clinics are provided for immunizations, well child physicals for children 2 and under, and sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV testing.  

The goal of nurse home visiting is to provide information and prevention education to pregnant women and parents of infants and toddlers, or older children with special health care needs.  

Other services include lead testing and case management services for children less then 8 years old that are diagnosed with lead poisoning.
